The Innovation Park was set up on the initiative of the Eurometropolis in 1983 and is also central to the development of the healthcare sector within the city.
The park is a thriving centre for innovation, featuring major international organisations such as the IGBMC (Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology), the Alsace Biovalley competitiveness cluster and Conectus Alsace (technology transfer acceleration), the Illkirch campus of Strasbourg University (Faculty of Pharmacy, the School of Biotechnology) and over 100 companies, including many multinationals, such as Quintiles, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Menicon and Transgene.
The innovation Park is a European benchmark for synergies between public and private-sector R&D. The park’s services and dedicated real estate underscore its value as a location for cutting-edge production and the provision of innovative services, while its international, proactive environment offers exceptional conditions for the 7000 people working there.
Bioparc 3 is an extension of the park’s business centre, specifically designed for companies working in chemistry and biology and is a signal of the Eurometropolis’ continuing support for the establishment and development of innovation-led projects within its territory. The Bioparc program, with its 7500 m² of office space and laboratories, provides the ideal setting for industry leaders such as Novalix, Alsachim and Domain Therapeutic. The centre features a bioincubator and offers bespoke premises for rental or purchase. The Innovation Park’s real estate offering meet all the requirements of companies and research laboratories at every stage in their development.
